About US

Ibuka Canada is a Canadian non-profit organization committed to remembering the victims of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda and promoting education about genocide prevention.

The organization works with communities, institutions, and partners across Canada to ensure that the history and lessons of the genocide remain part of the global conversation on human rights, peace, and justice.

Through commemorative activities, educational initiatives, and public engagement, Ibuka Canada aims to build awareness and encourage dialogue about the dangers of hate, discrimination, and extremist ideology.

Ibuka Canada also seeks to promote solidarity with other communities affected by historical injustices and to contribute to meaningful conversations about healing and reconciliation.
